The
Pocket PC Summit is the first trade show and conference dedicated
exclusively to the Pocket PC. The event includes three days of focused
discussions covering some of today’s hottest Pocket PC and wireless
issues including, Business and mCommerce, Application Development,
Communications, Media Design & Entertainment, and Productivity
and Usability. Some of the topics include,
Application Development: Overview, Languages and Utilities; Communications:
Wireless LANs; and Media Design & Entertainment: Video and Audio
– How to Encode to Windows Media for the Pocket PC.
Presenters, speakers, and panelists for the first edition of the
Pocket PC Summit include some of the Pocket PC industry’s top pioneers
and developers like Chris De Herrera of CEWindows.net, Steve Bush
of Brighthand, Terence Goggin from the Information Appliance Association,
and Hal Goldstein, Publisher of Pocket PC magazine. Says Chris De Herrera, Chairman
of the event Advisory Board, "Attending the Pocket PC Summit will
enable key decision-makers, and developers to better realize all
the ways Pocket PCs meet their needs by enhancing the productivity
and profitability of their business."
The Pocket PC Summit was launched during the month of April 2001,
and officially announced July 11, 2001.

QuickTime Creative Developers Group
The
QuickTime Creative Developers Group is a new community of QuickTime
designers and developers. The QuickTime Creative Developers Group
officially launched July 12, 2001 when the first meeting of the
group was held at the Apple Market Center in Santa Monica, California.
With a record turnout of filmmakers, producers, DVD professionals,
QuickTime developers, and new media artists, the group was off to
a roaring start. The mission of the QuickTime Creative Developers
Group is to provide QuickTime developers and programmers with resources
to succeed in the fast paced world of streaming media and converging
technologies. Developer resources such as QuickTime and streaming
media training programs are expected to launch 3rd quarter of 2001.
The QuickTime Creative Developers Group will unite the creative
worlds of the Web, Film, and Video like never before!
