John Tidwell
MultiMeteor CEO and Co-Founder
John Tidwell achieved a Marketing degree from Dixie College in St.
George, Utah before attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
for Film Studies and Computer Science. He served as Marketing Director
for Wizard.com, the first independent Internet Service Provider in
Las Vegas while studying Web design and development and produced several
corporate websites and web applications. After relocating to Los Angeles,
California in 1998, Mr. Tidwell organized a small Web design and development
firm in 1999 offering Web services including Flash development. In
January 2000, he started the Los Angeles Macromedia Users Group where
he organized education and networking events for group members with
business partner, Mark Winstanley. The Los Angeles Macromedia Users
Group has grown into a global community of Web Designers, Programmers,
and Digital Artists called FlashCore with nearly 5,000 members. Shortly
after growing FlashCore, the two created a successful media company
with several business interests that became MultiMeteor, Inc. MultiMeteor
now produces trade shows and conferences, including the Pocket PC
Summit, the first and only trade show and conference dedicated exclusively
to the Pocket PC. Before attending college, Mr. Tidwell served as
a goodwill ambassador to the country of Colombia, South America for
two years where he helped organize projects to aid the poor and disadvantaged
in the cities of Bogota, Fusa, Cucuta, Barranquilla, and Cartagena.
Mark Winstanley
MultiMeteor President and Co-Founder
After attended the University of Southern California in Computer Science
and Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Winstanley proceeded to launch and
grow many successful businesses. Mark formed a media services company
and worked as a consultant and strategist for several large media
companies including Time Warner and Virgin Records. A highly motivated
entrepreneur, he soon met partner John Tidwell in Los Angeles and
immediately set about making the vision for MultiMeteor a reality.
Focusing on logistical planning and technical coordination, Mark has
helped steer MultiMeteor down the road to success and welcomes the
challenges and rewards of the company's business units. Immersed in
the technology that is shaping the future, Mark Winstanley is also
a published author of several books on new media tools and strategies.
John Forrester
Vice President of Events and Tradeshows
John Forrester graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1989, concentrating
his studies in Economics, Political Science and Spanish. He studied
abroad at the International Institute in Madrid, Spain in 1987. Mr.
Forrester worked in the early 90's for the Computer Products and Services
Company The Virtual Group, located in metropolitan Detroit. Mr. Forrester
was integral in launching a spin-off company called Virtual Circuits,
Inc., focusing on component level board repair. John Forrester relocated
to Los Angeles focusing heavily on live event production. Creating
high impact immersive event experiences has won Mr. Forrester numerous
clients, including: Candle corporation, The Viper Room, Fun Little
Movie, Inc., The Filmmaker's Alliance, World Meetings Plus, Community
Digital, Questor Systems, Praxis EMR and Penton Media. Current projects
include: The world premiere of Love Bytes, a benefit for London's
new Fashion and Textile Museum, the FlashCore New Media & Internet
Expo, and Pocket PC Summit.
